The First Step in the Printing Process

In our pre-press department we give your project a good foundation. At Rush Printing, we can take your files or start from scratch and completely design your piece professionally and in a timely manner.

  • We will begin your project with the generation of an initial proof. Our proofer checks for correct spacing, punctuation, proper word usage, spelling, sensibility when reading your brochure, document, etc., and overall balance for eye appeal.
  • Next, we will generate a second proof for you to examine. At this time you may make any changes, additions, or deletions to your project. Upon final approval, you will then be asked to sign a proof approval form.
  • Our pressman will then use the final proof while running your job.

State-of-the-Art Equipment

The Computer-to-Plate System is 5 to 10 times faster than direct to film systems, and eliminates hand stripping mistakes and manual plate imaging registration problems. Each size of plate used is calibrated to its corresponding printing press for clean and sharp printing images. This system also eliminates the chemicals needed to develop film and burn plates, making it much more environmentally friendly.

After final proofs are approved, we can have plates up to our presses in minutes, instead of hours or days that film processing can take. This gives our pressman more time to do an excellent job on the pieces they are printing. Here at Rush Printing, we use every tool available to ensure the highest quality work possible. Just another way we meet and exceed your expectations.

The Second Step in the Printing Process

We can meet your needs for business cards, personalized memos, stationary letterheads, custom envelopes, full-color brochures, business flyers, invoices, and other business materials. As well as printing posters, unique invitations and announcements, coupons, printed and e-mail newsletters, catalogs, folders, mailing and product labels, personalized stickers, and leaflets.

Please browse through the tabs above to see what we have to offer. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Just drop us an e-mail or give us a call as we would be glad to help you.

The Last Step in the Printing Process

Our finishing department is capable of a range of functions to turn the printed sheets into the finished product. Utilizing a wide variety of equipment such as cutters, folders, stitchers, and hand labor we constantly satisfy our customers’ finishing needs with the quality they deserve.

In addition to machine processes, our hand labor capabilities include: laminating, shrink-wrapping, banding, pocket folder gluing, hand collating, and padding to name a few. We can fold your special brochure anyway you want, or number any job. We also make sure every job is carefully and properly packaged before we deliver it to you.

Saddle Stitching: Securing pages by wire staples through the center fold; the printed sections are inserted one inside the other.
Side Stitching: Securing sections of a book by inserting stitches through the first sheet to the last.

Perfect Binding: An adhesive-binding method. Signatures are collated, the spine of the book block is trimmed off to create loose-leaf pages and roughened before adhesive is applied and the cover is drawn on.
Comb/Plastic Binding: A curved or rake shaped plastic strip inserted through slots punched along the binding edge.
Spiral Binding: Book bound with wires in spiral form inserted through holes punched along the binding edge.
Loose-Leaf Binding: Process in which individual sheets can be inserted and removed at will from a section of a larger document often held in a three-ring binder.
